Service Technician

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in a variety of trades, including carpentry, door installation, drywall repairs, painting, light electrical work, light plumbing, and cabinet installs. This individual will be responsible for self-performing these tasks efficiently and effectively to ensure the satisfaction of our clients. Responsible for managing and performing routine reactive and preventative maintenance tasks.  Performs corrective repairs on buildings, equipment and grounds Conducts "face to face" relationship with Customers in the service of the client's requirements.

Key Areas of Duties & Responsibilities:

• Completes repairs and maintenance per work order requirements.
• Self performs services in compliance company procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
• Performs routine painting, carpentry work, etc., as necessary to maintain our Client's facilities in like new condition (e.g., repair a hole in dry wall, prep the area, and match the paint to present a uniform and original like new appearance).
• Performs minor electrical maintenance as allowed without a license within state law requirements (e.g., repair or replacement of fixtures, wall switches, and outlets. Replace light bulbs, ballasts and sockets if necessary).
• Completes service inspections and asset inspections as needed.
• Fully utilizes technology (tablet, smartphone) to: Access and complete work orders including notes on services provided.
• Obtains necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.
• Nights and weekend work required.
• Completes other duties as assigned or required.
• Self-perform carpentry tasks, including framing, trim work, and general repairs.
• Install and repair doors, including interior and exterior doors, as well as door hardware.
• Conduct drywall repairs, including patching, sanding, and finishing.
• Perform painting tasks, including surface preparation, painting, and touch-ups.
• Handle light electrical work, such as installing light fixtures, outlets, and plugs.
• Address light plumbing issues, including sinks, toilets, and faucets.
• Install cabinets in various settings, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored

Education/Skills Required:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in electrical, plumbing, including related work experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to, safety policies and procedure manuals.
• Comply with all applicable codes, regulation, governmental agency, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Maintain adequate knowledge of and always comply with OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and Company safety policies.
• Daily travels between properties and locations.
• Proven experience in carpentry, door installation, drywall repairs, painting, light electrical work, light plumbing, and cabinet installs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality workmanship.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• This position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
• You should have excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and customers and vendors.
• MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL OVERNIGHT AS NEEDED
