Irrigation Technician URGENTLY HIRING 

Location: Canton MI

Position Summary:
The Irrigation Maintenance Technician maintains and improves irrigation systems for commercial properties. This role includes system start-ups, winterization, routine maintenance, and repairs. You will troubleshoot issues, estimate materials and time for jobs, and help keep systems running efficiently.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

System Maintenance & Installation:

• Maintain irrigation systems for commercial properties.
• Install pipes, valves, and sprinkler heads.
• Use hand and power tools for installation and repairs.
• Troubleshoot and fix existing systems.

System Optimization:

• Ensure proper water coverage for landscapes.
• Inspect systems and make upgrades when needed.

Scheduling & Coordination:

• Plan daily and weekly work schedules.
• Order and track materials and inventory.
• Record time and materials used and submit daily reports.

Team Collaboration & Supervision:

• Communicate with operations and account management teams.
• Help supervise team members when needed.

Equipment & System Support:

• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles.
• Plan for labor, materials, and equipment needs.
• Repair valves, electrical components, and irrigation controllers.
• Set up timers and locate system zones and valves.

Professionalism:

• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.

Education, Experience, and Skills Requirements:

• At least 5 years of irrigation maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of commercial irrigation systems and components.
• Experience using common irrigation tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and organization skills.
• Irrigation certifications preferred (not required).
• Strong work ethic and ability to multitask.
• Experience repairing underground irrigation systems.
• Ability to install and program irrigation controllers.
• Skilled in diagnosing and fixing issues such as leaks and wiring systems.

Physical Demand Requirements:

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders and work in all types of weather conditions.
• Must be available to work 24/7, with the ability to respond quickly to urgent needs.

• Must be able to travel to various work sites as needed.
