HVAC Refrigeration Technician

What You’ll Do

As an HVAC/R Service Technician, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining both HVAC and refrigeration systems, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and compliance. You’ll work independently and with a team to support a wide range of equipment.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including medium- and low-temperature equipment
• Diagnosing and repairing refrigeration circuits, compressors, evaporators, condensers, expansion devices, and control systems
• Performing leak detection, refrigerant recovery, charging, and system performance optimization
• Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical and refrigeration systems
• Servicing equipment such as chillers and walk-in coolers/freezers.
• Coordinating with customers regarding refrigeration and HVAC issues, work orders, and scheduled shutdowns
• Procuring materials and resolving technical issues efficiently and cost-effectively
• Ensuring all work complies with EPA regulations, safety standards, and local/state codes
• Representing the company professionally at all times—courteous, detail-oriented, and safety-focused

Physical & Schedule Requirements

• Ability to climb, stoop, and lift 50 lbs or more regularly

• Availability for after-hours scheduled work and emergency calls as needed
