Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader

Job Function:

Serve as the onsite leader for a commercial landscape maintenance crew servicing location across SE Michigan.

Minimum Qualifications:

· 5 years’ experience in commercial landscape industry

· 3 years of professional landscape maintenance experience

· 1-2 years supervisory experience and leadership skills

· Have a chauffeur's license or the ability to get one

· Pass pre-employment drug screen

· Pass driver's background check

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Managing the crew: Assigning tasks, providing training, and mentoring crew members.

· Ensuring quality: Overseeing the work to ensure it meets standards and meets customer expectations.

· Managing resources: Making sure the crew has the tools and materials they need, and keeping track of materials and time

· Maintaining the job site: Keeping the job site clean and the equipment trailer organized.

· Operating equipment: Using standard landscaping maintenance equipment and operate company trucks/trailers safely.

· Communicating: Keeping management updated on jobs conditions and providing feedback on employee performance.

· Completing documentation: Complete any necessary documentation.

Optional Qualifications:

· CDL

· Industry Certifications

· Pesticide License

Physical Requirements:

· The ability to work outdoors in a variety of conditions.

· Must be able to work for uninterrupted extended periods of time.

· The ability to lift at least 50 lbs., bend, and squat for extended period
